The Million moves to SGMP!

MICKEY THOMPSON PERFORMANCE TIRES AND WHEELS MILLION DOLLAR RACE MOVES TO SOUTH GEORGIA MOTORSPORTS PARK

(Bradenton, FL) — Folk Promotions announced on Tuesday that South Georgia Motorsports Park in Adel, GA will now host the Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels Million Dollar Race.  The agreement includes a 5-year plan for the historic bracket race event that crowned its 25th Anniversary winner, Kevin Brannon just weeks ago.

General manager Jeff Miles said “a facility such as South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) and a family like the Folks are a perfect fit. We are proud to play host to the race that started the trend of big money bracket racing. This is the one race that I have always wanted to be a part of, a race that spans 25 straight years is a feat in itself and the Folk family have stepped up to ensure it continues for many many more.”

Ozzy Moya, owner of SGMP, Orlando Speed World, and Emerald Coast Dragway said “this is just the start of big things between Folk Promotions and myself. The excitement is definitely in the air for 2021.”

Folk Promotions said “We look forward to our partnership with Ozzy and the SGMP staff to carry on the legacy of the Million Dollar Race. We cannot thank the racers enough for their continued support over the years and it is our goal to provide a safe and competitive racing experience. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2021 as we embark on this new adventure and hope all entrants will have their best Million experience yet.”

The 26th Annual Million Dollar Race will kick off October 19-23, 2021 at South Georgia Motorsports Park and one racer will go down in history along with the list of past Million winners, an accomplishment that many bracket racers have strived to achieve for over two decades.

“SGMP will play a great host to this event as we will all be sure to make your experience here a great one. With the changes that Ozzy and Randy have agreed upon to the staging lanes (to accommodate the Million car count), shows that big money bracket racing is alive and well today,” added Jeff Miles.
