Of course, everyone wants to be and thanks to the CARS Protection Plus Million Dollar Drag Race, racers across North American have had the opportunity to enjoy a life-changing experience for the last two decades. Celebrating its historic 20th anniversary in 2015, the CARS Protection Plus Million Dollar Drag Race will return to Montgomery Motorsports Park on Oct. 22–25, 2015.
While the CARS Million has forged its reputation by delivering cold hard cash, the event champions can also rest comfortably knowing they’ve earned the respect and admiration of their peers. Put simply, a win at the CARS Million is a career-defining achievement and a title that every serious E.T. bracket driver longs to have on their résumé.
Bradenton, FL — Folk Promotions has released the 2015 date for the historic and highest paying bracket race in the history of drag racing – the C.A.R.S Protection Plus Million Dollar Race and also the date for the Lucas Oil Mini Million event. The Million Dollar Race will return to Montgomery Raceway Park on October 22nd-25th, featuring a FREE test and tune session on Wednesday followed by a Gamblers Race, the Triple Twenty-Five’s, and the “big-go” of bracket racing – The Million.
Once again, Friday dawned with clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine for Day 2 of the CARS Protection Plus Million Dollar Race. With new entries coming in today and one time trial provided to all entrants, eliminations didn’t start until 1:30. Due to the amount of entries, buybacks were again eliminated for today.
And so it is once again that the 19th Annual CARS Protection Plus Million Dollar Race has come to pass. Over Two hundred entrants came up with the $2,000 entry fee to be a part of the largest payday in drag racing history. In accordance with the rules of the event, the entire purse is guaranteed right up to the runner-up prize of $50,000.
Chamber of commerce weather greeted over 400 entries to Day 1 of the C.A.R.S. Protection Plus Million Dollar Drag Race. Possibly never before in the history of any race has there been a 0% chance of rain predicted for the entire weekend. And with clear blue skies and temperatures in the 70s, racers came out to compete at the 19th edition of this famous race.
With the actual Million Dollar Race event winner Rodney Phagan and fellow finalist Cecil Hankins both enjoying their victories, there remained one more race of the event, the final Triple 20 with $20,000 on the line for the winner.
Montgomery, AL — Folk Promotion’s Mini Million series kicked off this past weekend at Montgomery Motorsports Park and three winners were crowned, including a father and son who celebrated a birthday and victory in the winner’s circle. The event faced weather conditions most of the weekend as the flooding rain forced race officials to cancel the main $50,000 event.

Montgomery, AL – Needless to say, Mother Nature has not been kind to the C.A.R.S Protection Plus Million Dollar Race. Toreiterate slightly, Thursday’s Triple 20 event was rained out. Friday’s race only got to the fourth round and rain on Saturday morning put another damper to an otherwise great race. But Sunday dawned with clear blue sunshine and the actual Million Dollar Race was on and it was time to crown some winners.

The 18th Annual Million Dollar Race is right around the corner taking place October 17th-20th @ Montgomery Motorsports Park! Gates open at 8am on Wednesday October 15th with a track operated test & tune to follow in the afternoon.
We are glad to announce that Renegade Racing Fuels, Mickey Thompson Tires, and Hoosier Tires will all be on hand at the event with semis loaded full of product throughout the duration of the weekend. Renegade will have 110 through 116 racing fuel and plenty of Methanol.
For the 18th straight year, The C.A.R.S. Protection Plus Million Dollar Drag Race will be held on the weekend of October 17-20. This year’s event will take place at Montgomery Motorsports Park in Montgomery, Alabama, only this year there’s a new twist on the same old successful event.
For 2013, two separate Mini-Million events will take place with the first one on May 30 through June 2 at Montgomery Motorsports Park. For the second Mini-Million, the party will move northeast to Piedmont Raceway in North Carolina on the dates of August 15-18. Both events will feature warm-up races in addition to guaranteeing not only the complete purse but also the winner’s share of the Mini-Million to be at least $50,000, with increases starting at over 125 cars.
